God’s Gifts Are Limitless

Today I was reading in Romans 12, and the verses started listing out the different kinds of gifts that people within the church could be anointed with, and it encouraged us to let them walk out their God-given gifts. It says (12:5-8): “…so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve, if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him giver generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.”

It got me thinking about just how diverse the call(s) of God can be. That list was written SO many years ago, so think about the different gifts that people can be anointed with now! What if I was anointed with the gift of digital media. What if I could write and produce videos that shared the love of God to the entire world! Would that qualify as a gift of God? He’s surely set up my life thus far to enable me with that gift.

It has taken a lot of digging (still more to do) to find my true calling – what God has put me on this earth for. I think about it a lot, especially when I listen or look at people around the world who are fulfilling their God-given destiny. Like they KNOW deep down in their hearts what God has placed them on this earth to do, and they’re doing it! I want to do that. Life is too short to sit back and wait for the most opportune moment to seize your destiny. I feel like I’m at the point now where I can see my calling, and now I just need to hunker down and start making it a reality. Find your gift and leave a comment in the comment section below and start elaborating on it.
