This morning Kassi and I read Luke 17:11-17. It reads:
“Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him – and he was a Samaritan.
Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.””
How often does God answer our prayers without our recognition? Sometimes people only focus on the unanswered prayers instead of all the ones that God has been answering all along. I am majorly guilty of that. Even this morning these verses reminded Kassi and I of all of the prayers of provision that God has answered with our move to Australia. I have a job, we just put a deposit on our “Nanny Flat” that we will be living in – which is under budget and exactly what we were after. And did I mention there was a dog?? Yes, a 1-year old boxer named Macy. That’s beyond what I have asked for, maybe not so much for Kassi (haha), but regardless, I’m very thankful.
We took time this morning to thank God for all that he has provided. We are truly blessed and have been blessed with all that God has provided for us. We prayed, in faith, before we left for Australia that God would provide for us just like he promised he would in Luke 12:22-34. We stepped out in faith and continued knocking on doors over here in Australia and God opened the perfect door for me in less than 5 days. Within a week we found a place to live and the landlord loved us. Our landlord even offered to give Kassi a few shifts of work at her catering business, so we’ll see how that develops over time! It could be promising.
God has shown us an incredible amount of love and provision in our lives. We are so blessed to have each other and all of the opportunities that he has provided. This is a season of thanksgiving and growth, and we will revel in it as long as we can.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart and from the depths of my spirit for all that you have provided for us. We are completely taken care of and I am so thankful for all that you have done. I continue to pray that you satisfy my wife’s heart by giving her a rewarding job that is exactly what her heart desires. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We are beyond blessed.
